Germany Power Q3 2018
We expect broad power policy continuity in Germany' under the country's new coalition government, and thereforeexpect the continued phase-out nuclear by 2022, the increased deployment of renewable energy, whilst still relying on coal as animportant fuel for baseload power. As such, we forecast coal to make up more than 30% of power generation in the country in2027. We expect the wind and solar power sectors to comprise an equivalent 28% and 8% of the total, respectively.
