Germany Insurance Report Q4 2017

Germany Insurance Report Q4 2017

BMI View: Germany is home to a large, competitive and diverse insurance industry. Although mature, both the life and non-life insurance segments continue to offer room for growth, though their highly competitive landscapes render them large unattractive new entrants. With a large number of providers competing for small shares of the market, we expect to see some degree of consolidation as insurers attempt to capture a larger share of the sector's solid growth trajectory and as smaller providers contend with enhanced capitalisation and solvency requirements.
