BMI View: Gabon's food and drink industry will show robust growth over 2016, largely driven by theincreasing formalisation of the mass grocery retail industry. As consumers gain wider access to formalretail, we will see a rise in the sales of branded packaged foods. The scope for large-scale expansion in thefood and drink industry is limited by a weak demographic profile. Premiumisation will ultimately have toplay a more significant role in driving growth.
