Thecountry will welcome upwards of 90mn international visitors in 2018 and also boasts a large, active domestic tourism market whichcontributes greatly to tourism related spending. Tourism is therefore a key component of the domestic economy and contributesgreatly to employment, ensuring a high level of government support for the sector via investments in transport infrastructure,marketing campaigns and other tourism related initiatives. While the market outlook is positive, the tourism industry will facechallenges from strikes in the transport sector and the persistent threat from terrorism.
