Czech Republic Power Q1 2019
The power industry in the Czech Republic is expected to achieve only minimal growth over the coming years. Theremoval of ageing nuclear power plants from the domestic energy mix will leave the country more reliant on energy imports. Whilethe government is planning to develop new nuclear capacity in order to improve energy security, at present the timeline remainsuncertain, leaving the power sector increasingly reliant on thermal power and a small renewables sector. Without any significantincentives to attract private investment, the Czech power sector is unlikely to make any significant gains.
