Food consumption in the Czech Republic will continue to grow robustly until 2022, driven by rapidly rising householdincomes, positive consumer sentiment and easing inflationary pressures. While we do not expect major shifts in consumer dietarypreferences, focus on quality and health benefits is expected to continue rising in line with the household purchasing power. Ouroutlook for the alcoholic drinks industry is somewhat less optimistic due to the already mature and saturated market, althoughopportunities for premiumisation remain present in the near term.
