Although the market for consumer electronics in the Czech Republic is already mature, and volume growth potential isdiminished, we forecast increases in spending over 2019-2022 because of the opportunities that will be created by purchasingpower gains to households. Rising incomes and koruna appreciation will mean that vendors can profit through higher unit prices inUS dollar terms throughout the medium term. There is however downside in the government's populist outlook, because while it ispro-growth in the short-to-medium term, there is a risk of tensions arising with the EU.
