Following the launch of 4G services, the Colombian mobile market is witnessing rapid growth in data consumption andoffers opportunities for the generation of revenue through value-added services, particularly mobile financial services. With new 4Gfrequencies allocated before Christmas 2019, operators are bound to up their network investments in 2020. The mobile market isalready highly penetrated, so organic growth opportunities are becoming fewer, but given the prepaid segment represents 80% ofsubscriptions, there is room to migrate customer to post-paid tariffs and other high-value services. The prospect for selling multi-play packages is improving significantly with continuing investments in fiber and the pay-TV market having shown robust growth. Asthe economic situation in the country improves, demand for these services is likely to grow, but competition for the richBogotá market will remain key for wider dominance.
