China's food and drink market will continue to be one of the most attractive globally, achieving double-digit growth ratesacross most categories amid a favourable consumer outlook. Although China is entering a period of slower economic growth, westill see considerable room for expansion as consumers turn to healthier options and trade up to premium price points. Thispresents opportunities in spirits, wine, fresh fruit and vegetables and yoghurt, although some sub-sectors, including food staples(bread, rice, cereals and pasta/noodles) and beer will underperform as these markets reach saturation point.
