Chile Infrastructure Report Q4 2017

BMI View: Following a contraction in 2017, we expect Chile's construction industry to rebound to growthin 2018 as accelerating economic growth drives private investment into the sector, with residential andnon-residential construction particularly set to benefit.

Forecast & Industry Developments

We now expect Chile's construction industry to contract by 2.4% in 2017 as weak economic activity,mortgage restrictions as well as delays on a number of major infrastructure projects limited constructionactivity in H117.

Investor interest in Chile's infrastructure assets appears likely to remain strong. In August, it wasannounced Acciona sold its Route 160 highway concession in Chile to Globalvia for EUR335mn.
