We hold an optimistic outlook for the food and drink sectors of Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar over the course of ourforecast period to 2022. Robust economic growth and rising household income levels will be a unifying trend in the three countries,and this will boost sales of food and non-alcoholic drinks. Despite this, low income levels by regional standards will persist in theshort term, and this will mean that the most attractive opportunities will remain concentrated within mass market offerings andurban areas. As income levels gradually rise and the urban populations increase, we expect to see a steady expansion of thesecountries' modern, formalised sectors.
