Household consumption will sustain a healthy growth trajectory over the next few years, supported by rapidly risingwages, subdued inflation and high levels of consumer confidence. This bodes well for the food and drink industry, which remains thesingle largest spending category among Bulgarian households. We believe that growth will be broad-based, with a number of keyfood categories - including meat and poultry, dairy, fish, baked goods - experiencing notable sales increases during the next fiveyears. Unfavourable demographic trends mean that our outlook for the alcoholic drinks sector is more cautious.
