Brazil Power Q2 2019
The election of Jair Bolsonaro to President of Brazil has not dispelled uncertainty over power sector policy, particularly inrelation to the privatisation of assets owned by state-owned utility Eletrobras. Despite this, the Brazilian power market offerswidespread investment opportunities across virtually all segments of its power sector, notably in renewable energy, natural gas andthe transmission and distribution sectors. We expect installed power capacity to expand by an annual average of 1.7% between2019 and 2028, totalling approximately 195.8GW.
