We continue to hold a positive outlook for the consumer in Botswana. With economic growth recovering and low andstable inflation protecting the purchasing power of consumers, we foresee consumer spending continuing on its impressiveupwards trend. Structurally high unemployment does limit the extent of this growth. The results of the recent national elections willdo little to boost confidence amongst consumers.
