Asia Telecommunications Q4 2018

Asia Telecommunications Q4 2018

Key View:

Different Asian telecoms markets require different investment strategies, as each market is at a different stage ofdevelopment. In developing markets, the main challenge is low spending power, while the saturated nature of more maturetelecoms markets have forced operators to focus on converged strategies. New entrants quickly dragged even the more premium3G and 4G mobile broadband services into a price war, and 5G is increasingly at threat of following suit unless operators come upwith new business models. Pricing strategies will stay competitive, discouraging for sustained revenue growth.
