BMI View: The five year outlook for the Argentinian insurance industry remains robust with explosive growth prospects on the horizon. The market is at an intermediate stage of development with strong lucrative organic growth potential in both the life and non-life segments. Increasing spending powers and growing wages will boost the purchases of insurable goods and bolster demand for life, pensions and savings. Furthermore, the ongoing regulatory changes and government efforts to liberalise the economy will attract foreign investments. Density and penetration rates remain low and the country is poised for strong insurance sector growth but we highlight that inflation and currency exchange rate volatility hold downside risks to investors and US dollar denominated growth.
