Albania Oil & Gas Report Q2 2018
Albania's upstream position remains weak due to relatively small reserves, although ongoing exploration activities andadvanced recovery techniques could provide some support to the flagging crude production. The country's refining sector is small, inefficient and highly indebted, which will make Albania increasingly reliant on refined fuels imports. On a more optimistic note, theTrans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) - scheduled for completion by 2020 - will turn Albania into an important gas transit country and couldsupport the development of domestic gas industry.
