This report summarizes the results of interviews conducted from January 2007 through June 2008 for sites participating in IMV Medical Information Division's census of U.S. hospital and non-hospital facilities that perform radiation therapy treatments and have external beam radiation therapy equipment installed. The report covers national trends in courses of treatment and treatment volume and type, features and manufacturers of installed equipment (including linear accelerators, IGRT, CT and PET/CT simulators, treatment planning units and more), equipment buying plans, utilization of radioactive agents for radionuclide and brachytherapy, operational budgets and staffing levels.
