Haier
Haier is one of the few Chinese home appliance companies that have transformed itself into a global company with products sold in over 100 countries. The company is working hard on innovation and quality improvement but is facing challenges to change the negative perception surrounding the “Made in China” label.
The company is poised to benefit from the rural appliance rebate scheme, which provides rural consumers with a 13% rebate on selected appliances and consumer electronic products. The low penetration of white goods and consumer electrical appliances in the rural market will provide Haier with further room to expand.
