This IDC study examines the results of a survey in which 610 learning leaders shared answered questions on learning delivery. Vendors must help their clients select delivery modalities that anticipate changing trends in delivery options, learner preferences, and capabilities. This forward-thinking approach will enable clients to have content on the shelf in a format that is more likely to be consumed by their stakeholders.

"If a course is developed by a reputable provider, contains the same content, and is designed to achieve the same learning objectives, then enterprises should select delivery modalities that facilitate their learners actually taking the appropriate classes. What is most essential is that enterprises first choose the appropriate content, then the appropriate delivery modality," says Cushing Anderson, program vice president, IT Education and Certification research.
