This IDC study presents the worldwide and U.S. IT education services forecast for 2008 through 2013. Most IT training markets are experiencing significant pressure from 2008 through 2009, causing IDC to revise downward our worldwide IT education forecast. Training vendors, especially the training arms of technology vendors, will need to continue to adapt to help their companies weather this challenging environment and should consider focusing marketing efforts on improving the business value of the technology.
"Vendors are universally strong at integrating a variety of delivery options in their portfolio and are consistently improving their offerings as new approaches become viable. However, vendors are generally weak at developing and delivering education services. During this time of challenge, services that help clients better choose and leverage training to improve technology value will remain a strong business." - Cushing Anderson, program vice president, IT Education and Certification Research
