This report presents Taiwanese LCD TV shipment volume and value forecast, as well as recent quarter review of shipment volume, value, ASP, shipment ranking, shipment by maker, and product mix. Also provides price trends, production locations, shipment destinations, and business types. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with LCD TV makers. This report finds that despite the global economic turmoil, the Taiwanese LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TV shipment volume still scored slight growth in the third quarter, thanks to advanced stocking by branded vendors and channel players in preparation for the peak-season demand in the fourth quarter as well as consumer purchase stimulated by falling prices and branded vendors' aggressive promotions. Driven by the peak-season demand, Taiwanese LCD TV shipment volume is forecasted to see further growth in the fourth quarter. Nevertheless, both the sequential and year-on-year growth rates are expected to pale in comparison with the same quarter in 2007.
