Juniper is putting its best foot forward with the launch of its new Security Threat Response Manager (STRM) family, despite its late entry in the crowded Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) market. The new STRM family will almost fulfil the expectations of its customers especially on features and usability. However, on price/performance the STRM seems to be a little bit costly when compared with other SIEM products. Given Juniper’s sound position in the networking and security segment; TekPlus believes that the new STRM family of appliances will make a good entry in the marketplace.
