Education in Australia

Education is one of 17 divisions that comprise the Australian economy. This division is primarily concerned with the provision of education services from preschool through to postgraduate and vocational courses. Consumers are primarily the key users of educational services, choosing between private and public providers. A smaller share of educational services is also consumed by the export markets (i.e. international students). Operators which primarily undertake scientific research, provide childcare services, provide training in sport, etc or provide student accommodation are however excluded from this division. ANZSIC definition: This Division includes all units mainly engaged in providing education.
