The Key Note Range of Reports

Abstract

In 2002, the UK videoconferencing market was worth £150.6m at rsp (reseller selling prices), an increase of 14.1% on 2001. Market growth has slowed since 2000, as a result of falling unit prices and the general squeeze on IT budgets in large organisations. Despite this slower rate of market value growth, the continuing improvement of the price/performance ratio for conferencing/collaboration products is making videoconferencing products and services more accessible and affordable, with the result that they are being used for a wider range of applications, such as training, education, sales meetings and supplier meetings, and by a wider range of companies, including more small- and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
