AbstractPatient monitoring devices measure, display and document physiological information obtained from sensors attached to the patient. The devices range from small, wearable monitors that monitor a single physiological parameter such as blood pressure, to complex devices that measure a variety of parameters and transmit them to a central monitoring station via wired or wireless network. The report analyzes current as well as emerging monitoring technologies, and market trends in various product, application, and end-user segments through 2008. While the analysis focuses on the U.S. market, a separate section analyzes the global market. The report analyzes the structure of the patient monitoring industry including competition and market shares, financial performance and M&A trends.
