Automated Software Quality Vendor Profile: Combining Portfolio and Analytics, Parasoft Evolves Quality StrategyPublished by: IDC Published: Dec. 2, 2012 - 7 Pages Table of Contents
AbstractThis IDC Vendor Profile is one in a series of IDC documents that examine automated software quality (ASQ) solutions and provide both vendor analysis and customer reference context for technology adoption. This Vendor Profile assesses the ASQ strategy and position of Parasoft, a vendor targeting the application performance management, load testing, analytics, and mainframe testing arenas. Here, we discuss Parasoft's Parasoft Test and Parasoft Virtualize (and related ASQ product support with Parasoft Concerto) products. Parasoft's breadth of product capability positions the company well across several categories of ASQ analysis. We position Parasoft within this product category and relative to trends in user adoption for the dynamic load testing for ASQ SaaS and cloud, software quality analysis and measurement (SQAM), and enterprise ASQ markets. We do so in the context of an overall economy that remains volatile and demands efficient access to software quality and deployment. We also include summaries of Parasoft customer references — a global travel company using Parasoft's functional, regression, and load testing and SOAtest as part of the deployment process to evaluate response times, errors, and a whole suite of functions that the company checks for Web services. This organization believes it has been able to grow more quickly and dramatically with product offerings via Web services acceptance and use, which wouldn't have been possible to achieve without appropriate services testing.
