This study focuses on Western European vertical markets' familiarity with selected technologies (server consolidation, storage consolidation, system virtualization, SAN, NAS, green datacenters), current deployment, and short-term adoption plans. Results are given for total Western Europe for the following vertical markets: financial services (including banking and insurance/other finance), discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing, telecom/media/transport/utilities/oil and gas, retail/wholesale, business services, healthcare, and government.
