Abstract

This IDC Insight presents data and analysis around the IT resources used by small and medium-sized businesses and specifically focuses on resources for managing mobile deployments of devices, service plans, and applications.

Data presented in this document is from IDC's 2009 SMB Mobility IT Decision-Maker Survey, segmented by company size. The survey was fielded in June and July 2009 to obtain a quantitative assessment of small and medium-sized businesses' use, plans, challenges, and experience in deploying mobility. The 2009 survey focuses on SMB use of mobile applications and devices as well as mobile operator and channel preferences. More general questions around IT provisioning were also asked.
