Abstract

This IDC study looks at the Norwegian software market, which slowed down in 2008 compared with 2007, recording a growth rate of 7.1%. IDC expects the Norwegian software market to expand at a compounded annual growth rate of 5.2% for the period 2009-2013.

"The financial crisis and the economic slowdown have taken their toll on the software market's growth. This will be the case again in 2009, but not as dramatic as we feared six months ago," said Per Andersen, managing director at IDC Nordic. "We still forecast a positive growth in the Norwegian software market in 2009, and a market recovery will materialize already in 2010."
