This survey was conducted in six countries (Australia, India, Hong Kong, the People's Republic of China [PRC], Korea, and Indonesia), which were jointly commissioned across several research programs to cover the device and services markets (including data content and applications). "This year's survey shows encouraging signs from the developing markets, their monthly spend on mobile data services, in term of percentage to the total spend, are actually higher than the developed markets.," says Alex Chau, senior research manager, Asia/Pacific Mobile and Wireless Technologies/Services Research, IDC Asia/Pacific.
