• PPAR (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor) agonists are one of the major class of compounds for the

Abstract

Diabetes is a chronic disease that may reduce life expectancy by as much as 15 years because high blood glucose levels can damage blood vessels and nerves. The International Diabetes Institute (Australia) estimates that direct and indirect healthcare costs associated with diabetes exceed $153 billion globally.
