Abstract

This IDC Insight presents the highlights of the second PRACE industry seminar, which was held in Toulouse, France, on September 7-8, 2009. PRACE, which stands for Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe, is a pan-European cooperation comprising 18 countries with the objective of establishing an infrastructure for high-end HPC computing activities. The EU and many countries around the world are exploring ways to use very high-end HPC computers to advance science and engineering to improve life for their citizens and increase competitiveness and economic success.
