Abstract

UPFC is a publicly traded specialty finance company engaged primarily in non-prime automobile finance. This includes the purchase, warehousing, securitization and servicing of non-prime automobile installment sales contracts. UPFC, through its wholly-owned subsidiary United Auto Credit Corporation (UACC), has been purchasing sub prime auto finance contracts since 1996. UACC is an indirect automobile finance company that markets to franchise and independent auto dealers whose customers typically have limited or impaired credit histories and generally cannot obtain financing through traditional lenders. UACC operates through a network of full service branch offices throughout the United States. The Company funds its automobile finance business through automobile receivable backed securitizations and warehouse financing.
