Abstract

This IDC study presents and analyses the attitudes of enterprises towards emerging technologies and services in Australia. IDC highlights communications technology trends and provides insights into the telecom requirements, demand-side attitudes, as well as user expectations towards various broadband and IP technologies and services.

"The survey results demonstrate that enterprises are continuing to leverage the next-generation communication technology to facilitate greater efficiencies and reduce the overall operational costs. This was a trend that started prior to the global financial crisis (GFC) and will continue post-GFC. This is an investment most enterprises simply need to make to stay competitive," says David Cannon, program manager, Telecommunications, IDC Australia.
