IDC divides the Japan UC market into the UC platform, UC application, and UC professional services markets. By solution type, IDC classifies the market into the IP telephony (IPT), enterprise VoIP services, unified messaging (UM)/presence management, IP conferencing system/telepresence, and IP contact center system markets for analysis and forecasting. The Japan UC market grew in 2008, thanks to the brisk performance of the enterprise VoIP services and IP conferencing system markets.
