In 2008, the total UC revenue in the Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan) or APEJ region was US$1.8 billion, including IP telephony (IPT) and UC applications. Of this, the APEJ UC applications revenue totaled US$798.6 million. This study provides vendor revenue for UC applications for year-end 2008. "The current economic challenges means that UC applications need to pass through the acid test of short-term ROI, since enterprises, and particularly CFOs within enterprises ask UC suppliers hard questions revolving around cost control," says Shalini Verma, research manager, Communications Research, IDC Asia/Pacific. "UC vendors and their channel partners that help enterprises adapt to the new economic realities will be more successful in the coming year," she adds. Get Full Details About This Report >> |
