AbstractPoland’s domestic consumer electronics devices market, defined as including computing devices, mobilehandsets, and video audio and gaming products, is projected to be worth around US$6.5bn in 2009. Thisis expected to increase at a CAGR of 6% to US$8.2bn by 2013, driven by growing popularity of LCD TVsets, notebook computers and other key products.Poland’s consumer spending appeared to be holding up better than previously expected in H109, withbuoyant domestic lending preventing an outright collapse in expenditure and consumer sentiment. AV Devices AV devices accounted for around 32% ofPoland’s consumer electronics spendingin 2008. Poland’s domestic AV devicemarket is projected at US$2.1bn in 2009. Due to declining total sales of videoproducts, a negative CAGR of -1% isprojected for 2009-2013, despitecontinued growth in the digital TV setcategory. Mobile Handsets Mobile handset sales accounted foraround 17% of Poland’s consumerelectronics spending in 2008. Polishmarket handset sales are expected togrow at a CAGR of 4% to US$1.3bn in2013, as mobile subscriber penetrationreaches 126%.
