eHealth NOW: Atlantic Canada UpdatePublished by: Branham Group, Inc. Published: Mar. 1, 2009 - 7 Pages Table of Contents
Abstract"Healthcare in Nova Scotia is delivered by nine District Health Authorities (DHA’s) and the IWK Health Centre, which focuses on care for women, children, youth and families. The most pressing issue for any of these bodies at present is the lack of qualified personnel. Healthcare in Prince Edward Island (PEI) is run by the provincial ministry of health and with no regional authorities was successful in amalgamating IT and back office services. Canada Health Infoway has made significant investments in Newfoundland and Labrador, with the most ongoing projects of all Atlantic Canada provinces. The Atlantic provinces will continue to participate in projects and initiatives at the national level and in their own provincial initiatives; still, emphasis has been placed on a regional approach to healthcare delivery."Get Full Details About This Report >> |
