AbstractKuwait’s domestic consumer electronics devices market, defined as including computing devices, mobilehandsets, and video audio and gaming products, was estimated to be worth around US$668mn in 2008.Consumer sentiment is expected to be affected in 2009 by declining asset values and the collapse in oilprices. However, spending on consumer electronics devices is expected to increase to US$982mn by2013, driven by the growing popularity of LCD TV sets, notebook computers and other key productgroups, and by ongoing expansion of the retail sector.Computers Computer hardware accounted for around50% of Kuwaiti consumer electronicsspending in 2008. Mobile Handsets Mobile handset sales accounted foraround 16% of Kuwaiti consumerelectronics spending in 2008.
