However, with technological advancements, organic solar cells (or plastic solar cells) are being developed, which are becoming synonymous to miniature solar cells. Organic solar cells are low-cost photovoltaic cells which use organic electronic materials (polymers) and provide easy fabrication of the cells, allowing them to be dissolved or applied to flexible materials.
