Abstract

Fipronil is an outstanding insecticide and has played an important role in pest control in China. However, fipronil industry development will be largely restricted as Chinese government released the regulation on 25 February, 2009, which declares to restrict the use of fipronil in China since 1 October 2009. The restriction of fipronil use in China will greatly impact the whole industry, fipronil producers as well as the market of insecticide in China.
