Abstract

This report examines the situation regarding the distribution of chemicals in China.

We begin by briefly reviewing the state of the Chinese chemical industry to give an overview of the industry. We then go on to take a general look at the logistics sector, examining the major transportation methods: road, rail, inland waterway, and ocean, highlighting recent trends and development issues. We finally examine the interaction between the chemical industry and the logistics industry to build up a picture of how the distribution of chemicals functions. We provide details of the development of chemical industrial and logistics parks in China which are making a significant contribution to the development of integration and modernization within the industry.
