Abstract

Among the major PF producers, China, Spain and the US, through the world, China ranks the first in PF production. Meanwhile, China is also the largest PF consumer. In 2007, the capacity and consumption of PF in China was 228,000 tonnes and 102,036 tonnes, respectively. It is estimated that the capacity and consumption of PF in China accounts for around 50% and 55% of the global total respectively.

Chinese PF industry is greatly subject to the development of its downstream industry, especially herbicide. The flourish of glyphosate, a herbicide, is the largest driving force of the development of PF in China.

The report mainly focuses on the following problems:
