This new agreement would allow LGE and GE to use one another's patents for refrigerators and cooking appliances without paying licensing fees. LGE operates 36 research labs throughout the world. Its achievements in R&D and design have made LGE one of the leading players in CDMA handsets, optical storage, DVD players, residential air conditioners, plasma panels and LCD displays.
