USA-based Pantone, a provider of professional colour standards for the design industries, has released the summer 2009 edition of its Pantone View Colour Planner—a colour forecasting tool called “Independence”. According to research conducted by Pantone, the world of design and merchandising is reacting to a desire for designs which cater for a self-defining style. The research also concludes that people are increasingly noticing a change in values and interpreting these inspirations to suit themselves.
