WiMAX base stations will supplement Cisco’s router and gateway products, which extend across enterprise/SMB, home, public hotspot and service provider network segments. The company agreed to pay $330 million for Navini Networks, an Intel Capital Portfolio business with a proprietary mobile broadband wireless solution and road map to evolve to 802.16e standardization.
