The lone exception is the online used car market, where buyers increasingly rely on searches of online classified advertising listings. Regarding consumers' purchase decisions, however, the Internet has more influence on the new car market than it has on the used car market—and it has little influence on such decisions related to either auto financing or auto insurance.
