Analysis of the product features and price positioning of the most important carriers in the German Express and Parcel distribution market. The scope of the evaluation is focused on the German Business to Customer and Customer to Customer (B2C & C2C) markets. The study includes the most important carriers in the Domestic and International market segments. The study is focused on the published rates and examines the Counter products separately from the Pick up business.

1.) Product feature comparison After having segmented the product offer of the market participants, each individual service has been analysed with respect to extend and availability of service features. The product analysis has been divided into the following four subsegments:

- Pick-up e.g. “Late pick up”
- Delivery options e.g. ”Money back guarantee”
- After services e.g. “Proof of delivery (POD)”
- Added services & others e.g. “Track & trace”


The results are portraited in a table format as well as in a graphical way.

2.) Price comparison
Price analysis is based on secondary researched price information available in the market. Price information was sourced from carriers’ websites, brochures or interviews. The prices have been clustered into destinations and geografic zones.
