AbstractChina’s rapidly increasing output of automotive electronics market was stimulated by its two-decade high economic growth, especially the continuously rising demand.The living standard in China has improved significantly since the economic reform. An increasing number of high-income families have gained wealth that enables them to purchase high-priced item, such as automobiles, therefore it booms the automotive electronics industry. In 2005, the total number of households reached 375 million and will advance annually 3.3% to 441 million by the year 2010. Although the national per capita income was 11,300 Yuan (RMB) in 2005, the high-income middle class families with annual incomes of over 6,000 Yuan (RMB) have been increasing dramatically. It is forecast that the number of high-income families will advance to 15,849 by the year 2010, growing 3.3%% annually. These high-income families are either private car owners or intent to purchase cars. It is projected that the demand for automotive component products will remain at a high growth rate as the incomes of entrepreneurs and middle class families in China continue to rise rapidly.
